Ricable Custom U40 Speaker is a linear meter Hi-Fi cable with an elaborate geometry that make it an excellent product for making custom connections between Amplifier and high quality Sound Boxes. The design of Custom U40 is very refined, both in terms of materials and geometries, below are the main peculiarities:
4 mm2conductors made with Pure Copper OFC 99.999% in ultra-thin 0.10mm strands, and each conductor consists of as many as 500 strands. These conditions allow for optimum audo signal transport and make the cable very flexible, ideal for easier installation and superior performance to cables of the same cross section and characteristics.
Due to the use of Quality materials and a Twisted conductor structure it allows for very low Resistance levels (3.8 Ohm/Km) with current support up to 400W RMS, despite its small size.
Twisted and Directional conductors to lower inductances are the basis of effective sound transmission design. Conductor insulation is made of PVC with increased thickness to improve signal propagation and reduce background noise from outside. The conductors are wrapped in TNT insulation, and the whole is enclosed in a thick extra flexible PVC sheath with an outer diameter of 11.5 mm.
