The large entrance hole easily allows conductors up to 6mm to be inserted, and the double screw clamping ensures long and durable contact.
The non-magnetic outer shell allows the connectors to be handled without creating interference to the audio signal, while the 2 mm thick monocoque allows for a stable solid terminal. Finally, the presence of the double screw clamping allows for solderless wiring, this avoids spurious sound.
